Johnson Creek Rentals is nestled between the great neighborhoods of Eastmoreland, Sellwood, Westmoreland, Brooklyn, Powell, Milwaukie, Altamont, Woodstock, Mt. Scott, Foster, Lake Oswego and Happy Valley. It started out as a Texaco gas station under its first owner Dick Woods. In 1987 Dick was inspired by his good friend Sam Schoen who started U-haul in NE Portland. Dick then decided renting would be a great addition and service for the neighborhood. As a result, Johnson Creek Rentals became one of the first equipment rental companies in SE Portland. He later sold the business to his son-in-law Skip Snyder in 1995. Skip continued growing the business and then tragically passed away in a car accident. In July of 1999 local SE Portland resident, Ed Hutson saved the business from liquidation and continued to run it successfully until present owner Craig Pedersen purchased it in December 2017. As when it started, it still remains a locally owned and run business that cares for its community. We support many local projects, schools, churches and local organizations. Johnson Creek Rentals has been a member of the American Rental Association since 1987 and has an outstanding reputation in the community for providing top quality equipment that works. We try our best to be perfect but we know things can and do happen. If you ever do have a problem you can talk directly to the owner and it will be resolved. No corporate runaround from us. We just want you to get your job done successfully. Give us a try, you’ll be glad you did! We have everything you need for your home or commercial project; check out the wide variety of rental equipment we carry to meet your project needs. We also carry rock, sand, gravel and Pro Time Lawn Seed.
